I use pads. Tampons and cups freak me out. I’m good with pads. They work well. I don’t have leaks. I’m all good. Do what makes you comfortable.

I think there is also a cultural angle to this, I don’t think I ever saw tampons in India, it was only pads and that’s what a lot of South Asian women use today too. Thank you for sharing ❤ I have so many stories related to this.

as a med student i can tell you that don't ever be embarrassed about using pads! no hate to tampons but tampons could cause some serious health issue like the toxic shock syndrome that the pads would never!!!

My sister in law even after having 2 kids has always been a pad user. She just never liked the feeling of using tamps. And the same goes for me. I've never had kids but tamps just aren't comfortable, so I use period undies. No shame!

Also I would ANYDAY use a pad over a tampon because why stick something inside, that you'll most likely forget about and it'll rot and stink or worse, cause infection, just to save yourself embarassment? I still wear pads! But also it’s so funny how sneaky you can be if you want to lol when I was in high school a girl I knew texted me to ask if I had a pad because she said she felt awkward asking the nurse. I had one so when we got to class I put my arm in my backpack, slipped it into my sleeve, slipped it into her sleeve 😂 we both laughed & she was like that was so sneaky like a drug deal 😂

Ive been there, Lilly! I used to be a pad girl as well, until I tried a tampon once! Now, I only use pads on days when Im super heavy or at night. I found out that tampons still allowed me to go swimming, do martial arts, and work out! Once I discovered that, it was all over! But I went through the same embarrassment for some time. Thats why its so important to watch what you say and how you say it because you never know what emotions it will bring up in ppl!

I happy use pads.. why would you want to insert something into your cabinet on your period and pee through it. I use tampons if I swim and promptly pull them out of my body. Tampon popularity is definitely an American thing.
