Get Original Book Covers on your Kindle: Calibre Management

Hello Everyone. In this video, I talk about how some downloaded eBooks come without Book Cover Art. In such cases, you can use the Calibre Software and get the accurate book cover for your file before transferring to your Kindle.

This is a 5-part video series where I talk about how to get free books, transfer them to a device of your choice, with a proper Book Cover Art and save battery of your kindle device. I hope you enjoy it and get something out of each of these videos.

changes the layout of the books. I can't get it back to how they originally were, and the covers still don't appear on the home screen.

1:18 this metadata method DOES NOT WORK without a conversion of the file with the reflected changes you are making, which may ruin the formatting of the book, even if you convert to the same format (i.e. PDF to PDF). You are only updating the metadata local file on Calibre, NOT the source file that gets transferred to kindle/device. I'm not sure why Calibre does not update metadata for the source file, but it's an awful design.

I haven’t tried it yet but want to!! I want to clean up my kindle And Tired of just the “doc” white page

Will it over write the book that on the kindle or do I need to wipe my kindle first?

I’ve been using z library for my 2 week premium subscription and it’s lets me send straight to kindle or open in Apple Books but I’d I try to get them to my paper white or just says doc and I want to clean it up lol.

I mostly do listen to audiobooks tho. Do you know a place to get audiobooks as well?

Kindle has changed what file types they allow to be converted (Only supported are: PDF, DOC, DOCX, TXT, RTF, HTM, HTML, PNG, GIF, JPG, JPEG, BMP) so no longer MOBI or EPUB, i’ve tried everything and it won’t add a cover once I send it from my device to my kindle, any advice??

here's the thing i tried everything you said but as long as the file is EPUB it won't show covers
but when it's MOBI it does!!

but i can't have mobi files in the future!! what should i do??

I tried using my phone as device connecting to laptop, i did all the steps but its still not showing. I tried the tip#1 since there is a cover..it was transferred to my kindle app but still showing no cover.
