Seems like more of a politician than a CEO but you can't argue with the success this guy has had. Maybe the cafe crowd are more conscious of political atmospheres than your average consumer?

Thats right..it doesn't matter so much who is in power. Companies will adjust to policies, however good or bad. No politician from either side can take much credit for American economic boom..its mostly based on companies and ceos operating in a free market.

Did anyone else catch this? Didn't he say - maybe a weird Freudian slip? - "We don't steal as many CDs as we used to"? Haha! Anyway, illuminating talk. He sounds a little too excited about China for my money but I do agree with what he says about capitalism being an incredible opportunity and that most big businesses are essentially good.

Howard is a very seasoned CEO, however, he needs to focus on his stores more rather than getting caught-up in social issues.

Howard Schultz needs to:

1) Make sure baristas are engaging more with customers instead of having casual conversations with each other over those drive-thru headsets....i see this going on all the time.

2) Make sure there's a set music playlist ( Sinatra/ Noah Jones Etc) in the cafes, and Not allow employees to put on random music.

3) Stop the flow of homeless people walking in just for free iced water.

Things like this hurt the Customer Experience ☕️
