When it comes to the Focusrite, they have a kit that comes with a decent mic and headphones for beginning. And the headphones work great if you want to practice instruments quietly through an amp

Hey Kyle, been following you since a long time. One point though, unless someone is really ready to spend some good money on acoustic treatment, they should shy away from buying monitors, at least for sometime. The ATH M50x you mentioned are great and quite sufficient for someones starting years. But I would also point out that if someone is serious about engineering i.e. mixing/mastering, they should invest in monitors just for imaging purposes.
Just my 2 cents!! Great Video!

Great recommendations. A follow-up on what to look for and what to be wary of when buying used equipment would be an excellent supplement to this video. Used equipment can be an absolute steal (especially when it comes to things like stands, cables, and lights), but the buyer needs to be armed with some know-how and an easy test to perform on-site if they don't want to get ripped off. Also giving them some info on what these things generally cost to repair and the difficulty curve of the job would save a lot of peoples' bacon. It's tempting to buy any old broken stuff off craigslist and try to DIY it back to health. Some things cost wayyyy more to fix than they're worth brand new. But this is also a total rabbit hole of a topic and I can understand if you wouldn't want to cover it. That's easily an entire yt channel's worth of content.

Also, I'd like to throw my experience into the hat and say that the UAC-232 would be a _damn good_ interface for a beginner (currently around $180). Learning proper gain-staging is an essential skill for people who want to do live sound, but I think an extra fifty bucks to do away with gain knobs entirely is just so darn convenient that it's worth it for a total newbie's home recording rig. It's one less thing they can screw up and get frustrated over. I wish it were more ubiquitous as a feature (and cheaper), but I suppose it's gonna be a while before it comes standard on a lot of interfaces.

I’d recommend the Motu m2 over the others mentioned here

Great video! I have a similar setup. Love my T7Vs. What are your thoughts about how wide the monitors should be? I’ve been struggling with honing in my equilateral triangle. Been trying to get as good a REW reading since I’ve moved to a new place and have been testing with just the monitors and desk in the room and nothing else. I’ll move my treatment in later on when I get as good a reading as I can.

FYI don’t buy a focusrite they’re being pushed out there to much but you can spend $40-$60 on an audio interface (Behringer)

So many DAW options. Is there one that is generally considered beginner friendly that is affordable?

I have audient id4 and I am using dt990 pro 250ohm with it. It goes really well, although I wanna ask, is dt990 pro 250ohm a good choice from beginning till the end of a music production?

Hey، I have a scarlett 2i2 with Audio technica At2020. I always have problems when recording، the waveform is barely noticeable in DAW and I don't get the 18db, . If I turn the gain all the the way up, I get a lot of room noise, .

Do you think getting an external mic preamp would the problem?
Thanks
