Recipe: * 5 medium limes

Also in Yemen we make it the same way, so my advice is, if you want to keep it in the fridge without it becoming bitter, remove the seeds from the lemon and its taste will never change.❤

If it is a little bitter, take the extra step of zesting the limes then peeling ALL of the white stuff from the lime, that is the bitter part

I would mix those residues in the strainer with some spicies to make a marinate for lemon chicken.

lol. My father worked in Yemen & Arab Emmirates in the late 70s. He came home to Michigan and made this for us. It reminds my of my childhood now.

Just a heads up guys. If you blend it whole including that white stuff (the pith) it will be very bitter no matter how much sugar you add. Juice and zest is the way to go.

I was surprised to see the recipe. The acid in lemon can destabilise the proteins in dairy, resulting in a lumpy texture. Lemon in milk is to make paneer (cottage cheese), Also, consuming milk products and lemon together can trigger acidic reactions and cause severe heartburn and acidity. Food with diverse /opposite qualities.

Condensed milk wont curdle. Zest/juice lines w no pith for no bitterness.
