I feel like "fallen out" is a bit of an overstatement in this context, it's more like the United States and Canada had a bit of a disagreement with Mexico.

It’s ironic the US Ambassador to Mexico has claimed that elections of judges by popular vote shouldn’t take place when in pretty much every state in the US, at least SOME judges are elected.

Mexican here, the reform is something that the president and his party are pushing, the judges have blocked previous reforms that gave more power to the president and thats why they want to elect them via popular vote, because the presidents party just won the recent election by a landslide and as such, know that their candidates for judges will win

The US, Canada, and Mexico are so tightly intertwined that it is borderline impossible for any party to really "fall out" with one another, most everything is disagreements, minor ones at that.

I love how the US ambassador pointed out all the disadvantages of having elected judges, and how that mechanism undermines the separation of powers. I know he knows that for a fact, since the US is one on only two countries in the world that have elected judges. You'll never guess which is the other one.

Ok for those appalled by the strong language of the title: it’s not the creators fault.

YouTube promotes extreme and inflammatory language. If they had not used the term “fallen out”… you’d not have been shown this vid.

AMLO: "I can't belive the U.S. and Canada Ambassadors violeted our sovereignity 😭"

AMLO during his entire administration: "I wonder what controversial statement I'll make today about this other random country government"

On one hand, democratic backsliding should always be a worry on top of the mind for democratic nations. Regardless on how justified the complaints are. We do not need more fascist states in the world right now.
I also don't think judges should be elected by popular vote. They should be carefully vetted, picked and chosen based on their careers. They are not politicians or representatives, they should be there to make a technical job of deciding on cases based on the constitution and laws of the nation. While it's understandable that there will always be some measure of politics floating in courts, it should be avoided as best as possible. Of course, US has absolutely zero grounds to criticize here, but being in the worst position possible also isn't a reason to ignore criticism. I also don't think that just because US system has failed, there is some immediate need to go the exact opposite way. That's simply a stupid overreaction. There are plenty of nations in which a careful process of selecting judges for Supreme Court Positions without opening it to public vote works and have been working since it was stated.
The danger of a dumb left or far left government is exactly that. Being hyper focused on criticism or other nations and overlooking that doing the opposite they do is not always the best route to take, if not being even worse.

But on the other hand, when you as a diplomat, ambassador, or politician from another nation is critical of internal politics of another nation - venting it on social networks or making open statements without talking with the government of the nation you are criticizing first and not having consensus among your peers, is simply not the way to do diplomacy. It's not the way to negotiate, period.
You are not an individual analyst, you are not being paid to give personal opinions publicly on the matter, you are there for diplomatic talks, you are there as a body of relations which you need to have some consideration towards.
It is always a bad sign when diplomats talks their asses off in public only to have to come back to give some excuse for doing so or tracking back - again, regardless if they are right or wrong, if they are in agreement with their own governments, or in agreement with the international community.

I think this is one of the biggest problems in modern day communications. There are too many people around who don't understand their positions and roles, jumping the gun or feeling they need to always make their opinion public for some reason. The media ends up feeding on those things because it generates the clicks and catches the attention, and there can be no peace and cooperation anymore.

2:01 This guy is just a serial hypocrite. He loves to talk about the internal affairs of other governments and grant political asylum to corrupt politicians in the region but the second a more important country makes the slightest remark about Mexico he suddenly becomes the paladin of sovereignty.
