React Server Components Are Weird

There has been a debate about React's Server Components since their introduction back in 2020. With the server component implementation in NextJS 13, the server- and client-component architecture gained traction. Which problem does a server component fix in the first place, though? Wasn't React always a Client-Side Library?

Can't agree with this "maintainability" thing, server side libraries change that paradigm with "template + data fetching" to MVC for a reason. Soon or later the whole thing will become a mess.
