Owned it for 2 weeks, don’t know what I did without it. I’m used to worm drive corded saws, still love them when I’ll be at the saw horses all day, but for getting up on a roof, a deck, or remodeling, moving around all day it can’t be beet!

This is an excellent saw. I have had mine 2 years and have had no problems whatsoever. I was very impressed by the power. It is also very smooth and consistent.

I have this makita 36v rear handle saw as my personal saw with my personal carpentry tools at home. And I have another makita 36v rear handle saw at work replacing my corded grey skil saw. I’m a 15 year journeyman carpenter with the Hawaii carpenters union.

Thanks for the review, currently thinking about this one but the thing holding me back atm is the weight... I'ts pretty heavy (5, 6 kg) and not sure if that's good or bad. Does the weight contribute to accuracy and/or way of working? Or is it just a lot of weight to carry around? Cheers!

I have this exact same saw, and I love it. I just wish Makita would make a guard that would blow the sawdust to the side instead of behind it where I'm standing.

Very nice saw but too heavy for me. I don't use my three saws that much.
