On Ukraine's front lines as Putin recognizes breakaway regions

After Vladimir Putin recognized separatist regions of Ukraine as independent republics, suspected Russian military vehicles were seen entering the eastern part of Ukraine. Holly Williams reports from the front lines. Then, Charlie D'Agata breaks down the significance behind Putin's move and the effect that Germany halting the Nord Stream 2 pipeline will have.

The NATO pact in 2021 has 30 member countries who asked to join the alliance and had to be voted on by the members to join. At the height of the “Cold War” the Warsaw pact had 8 members who were forced to join by the former USSR. The very reason the former members of the USSR, who are now independent countries, ask to join the NATO alliance is being shown by Russia by their belligerence and aggression against an independent country. If Russia wanted to defuse the Ukrainian Russian separatist conflict in Ukraine, they could allow the ethnic Ukrainian Russians to move back into Russia if they don‘t want to live under Ukrainian rule. Russia has more then enough land in their country and doesn’t need to take lands from Ukraine. Democratic countries have a right to chose and not have a dictatorial country ban them from choosing who they wish to associate with. When the Ethiopian Jews were being persecuted in Ethiopia the Israelis didn’t send a so called “Peace” keeping force to attack the non-Jews in Ethiopia, they began airlifting out the Ethiopian Jews to Israel. Under the old USSR, ethnic Russian enclaves where established in conquered areas to cause disunity with the local population against the USSR’s central government. These old USSR ethnic Russian enclaves are where the political disruptions are being generated. Russia can occupy small areas of ethnic Russian speaking enclaves in Ukraine near the boarder on the East and the South. But, not the whole country since the rest of Ukraine speaks Ukrainian and are not ethnic Russians. When the USSR fell, all the former ethnic non-Russian members left Russia and formed their own ethnic country.

"Suspected" Russian military vehicles? Do you mean 'Russian military vehicles', because the separatists did not have equipment provided by any other source.

The only way to stop the wars from Serbia and Russia is for all European and Balkan countries to join NATO, the only way to stop the problems well, but apparently some EU countries are comfortable with staying that way!

Vlad is cunning. He only announced intentions. He will formally recognize (a legal action) in writing at the UNO recognizing Donbass as an independent state, likely tomorrow. Vlad already proposed to lawmakers in writing possibly 16 hours ago, asking their approval. They approved and ratified his written proposal submitted earlier, 2 hours ago, after reading his proposal of intent to recognize, by Russian lawmakers . Type written second proposal to UNO of recognition (a UNO term) will possibly be submitted to UNO in a couple of days. The proposal: I have no opinion. Kosovo also gained independence as a separate republic. He sez troops are going to invade (very soon) because they are under orders. The formal order to cross borders likely has not come. He sez he ordered troops to move. This may be true, likely not yet soldiers in uniform to move across the border (yet) till after ratification and after formal submission in typed paper on recognition. . May be, the troops are to be near the border for now. Vlad is not a habitual liar.
