Volodymyr Zelenskiy dismisses air force commander after F-16 fighter jet crash

Volodymyr Zelenskiy has fired the head of Ukraine’s air force a day after it emerged that a recently delivered F-16 jet had crashed earlier this week, killing the pilot.

Zelenskiy, Ukraine's president, did not give a reason for the dismissal of Mykola Oleshchuk, but spoke of the need to 'protect' the lives of those defending the country, suggesting the dismissal is probably related to the crash in which Lt Col Oleksiy Mes died

If there was a problem with the plane, the plane would’ve notified the pilot of an error. The pilot should’ve known to bail out of that plane. he did not inject that means that he was caught by surprised because he got shot down plain and simple. Common sense not so common anymore.
