Swiss Army Knife Hack, Scrape Fatwood and Ferro Rod

The Swiss Army Knife saw has a spine that is great for fatwood and Ferro Rod scraping. The only problem is, that saw is not a lock blade. I used to just hold it open with my thumb against those sharp teeth, but there's a less painful way. A subscriber told me that he added a lanyard to his SAK then wraps it around the saw to stabilize it for scraping. LOL! What a great idea! Let me show you how well it works.

Great hack David!!! Thanks for your response to another commenter. I always thought you wrapped your table in metal. I watched your video of your table construction. I guess missed the hi temp paint. Another great hack!!! Also, more importantly, you be the fastest scraperererer north of the Pecos!!! lol!!!😄

Very Nice David! Good idea to put a lanyard of paracord on any knife that will allow it! Amazing all the uses it can have!

Good idea I just normally drag straight down lifted off and then repeat the process

Was that fat wood or just regular wood you used for the shavings?
