Argh!!! I’m feeling just like this…. I kinda want an Odyssey more but this really sums up every time I look at a Carrack…..

My problem is I slowly worked up to a Redeemer and I’ll never trade it…. So I’m back to a second ship to slowly upgrade to a Carrack….. argh.

The carrack is one of my favorite ships. It has a room for everything, mobile spawn point, can carry multiple vehicles, can be used as a baby carrier with a sizable swarm of Merlins and (atm) can be effective with just 1 pilot and 4 crewman. Its also fun to run with 2 crews and a C8X shuttle to do missions. Keeping the Carrack in orbit and sending away teams down to the planet to do missions and bring back loot... makes me wanna shave the top of my head... I miss my Carrack 🥲

I never intended for the carrack to be my main ship. That was initially the BMM, then supplemented by the Polaris, along with an endeavour, and now a javelin. I always intended to melt my carrack, which I saw as temporary.

But I just can't let the carrack go. It's perfect. It's not as huge as the 890, Polaris, endeavour, let alone javelin, and while it is quite large and no freelancer, its small enough to be nimble and manageable for a small crew.

Yet unlike any smaller ship, even the 600i, (except maybe the starfarer) the interior finally feels large enough to be satisfying to explore and with lots of living room and places to explore.

And then there's the internal design. Absolutely gorgeous, super atmospheric and feels like something out of aliens.

I am re-modeling a Carrack in 3D from scratch (accurate) so I can 3D print it with moving parts (Cargo doors, shuttle area, landing gear). I want to print it about 2 feet long! its 90% complete!

I own the carrack. It is a fat pinguin. Not a single angle is greate looking. But worst are the Engines. They look so sad. I like the ship not so much the look. The white gold skin do save it quite a bit
