I love how Luke is always learning and sharing new information in his videos, he might be the goldie expert but no one knows everything and he’s very humble to explain what he’s learned here for everyone

"some casualties have occurred" as we see a little guy get trapped between the net and side of the aquarium @ 0:50 second mark.

Suggestion for modifying it. Take the suction cups off and attach something that will float to the top of the shrimp box that way it will float at water level and you wont have to adjust the net every time the water gets too low. 😊

Oh, I got the exactly same thing few days ago! It's also nice to keep fish that's a bit injured or not feeling well, but definitely not contagious, without setting up a separate thing for it.

Look @ you once again showing how brilliant you are❤, that’s wonderful you found a way to make changing the babies water easier on you. Especially since you are such a hard working fella. Thank you so much for sharing and best wishes always.

That is amazing news! I love how you continually find ways to improve.

God bless you and your new wife as you continue to grow your businesses and home :)!

I don’t have babies so I don’t need to be careful taking out the water but I do have a planted tank that I need to be careful putting water IN because otherwise the plants and the substrate get all messed up. Currently I use a red solo cup I’ve cut holes in and clamp to the side of the aquarium that I pour the water in and it waterfalls more calmly so it doesn’t kick around the base of the tank. This would be a good trick too to baffle the water even more! I’m gonna try it and see how it does 👍

Thanks Luke! I keep a betta and not goldfish but I love your videos. :)

Perfect! I've been having the same thoughts to use a higher powered pump but also ran into the problems you mentioned. Gonna order one of those mesh boxes, perfect solution

Do you ever look back at videos like this featuring all the babies and recognise fish that later become your favourites?

Best idea I learned today. Thank you, Luke

Just an idea but you should add foam around it so it floats and you don’t need to constantly move the suction cups

What a good idea! Add lil floats to the sides like mid way down?? You wouldnt have to adjust it so much!!

Great idea! I always just did the mesh strait onto the tube. But, as you said they still get sucked into the mesh and there are some casualties 😞

I love how when he learns easier strategies or tricks he teaches us so we don’t have to learn the hard way to do things.

get a bigger one to put around it. lager surface area = less contact with the high pressure water for the fish

I started using sponge filters on my hoses! I don't pump water out I use a gravity siphon, so a small sponge filter on the end makes more sense for me. I do the same thing pumping water in, a old sponge filter disperses current so I don't toss my substrate around
