half dim 7 just sounds like a minor chord with a maj 6 added. But nothing sounds like a dim 7. :) or a pure augmented chord. interesting stuff.

Helpful videos for sure, however, when you broke down the seventh using an F#, why was that not a raised tone or augmented tone? Is that because it was an F, and would the same apply C? Thanks

Is a fully diminished 7th chord the same as a diminished triad with a 6th then?
