I think Faker looks off because he is not playing Playmaking champions (obviously due to meta). He exceled on stuff like Azir and performed well on Yone in playoffs because those character were playmaking characters. Same with Oriana/Syndra/Ahri having that big shockwave or that big E to catch someone off-guard, whereas Smolder/Corki are the exact opposite where he has to wait for something to happen instead of him having agency over what will happen.
