Because they want to sell the *DREAM* not *REALITY* and they preach the dream so much that they believe it themselves. I saw my ex religiously watching some Vietnamese Dating Guru who was like in her 50's and a single, who was talking about finding a perfect partner... Proof is in the pudding...

THIS. Like I literally bought her new laptop and sports watch, just 6 months prior to her leaving me. What I should've said was "how are you feeling today" and would've probably had better influence than that. Me buying an expensive gadget that SHE DIDNT GET TO CHOOSE is just waste of time to work extra hours for. But hey, at same time she expects man to buy for everything, while providing minimal intimacy.

God I'm so glad she's gone. I found so many better girlfriends after. I don't know what I saw in her... well she did lovebomb me in first years of dating... but after that it just turned into a demand hell.
