I was hoping for something more like the books. This seems on level with what they did with the Percy Jackson movie adaptation. Man, I was hoping for sarcastic, genius Artemis, not some clueless boy out to save his Father like so many other movies.

The ENTIRE first book was ARTY Jr. discovers the fairies and and KIDNAPS Holly for a ransom and there is a battle of Fowl Manor and HATEYOUDISNEY

June 12th is the day now, i have mixed emotions about this, def a lot was changed in the film but im happy to see a movie, we have waited for so long. i liked that artemis was the villain in the story and seeing him grow up .

I can understand why they'd go for a more likeable Artemis for the sake of time, but this trailer feels a bit...hm. I'd watch it if it was on TV, maybe, but might give this one a pass in the cinema.
