Abstract Algebra 80: Zero divisors

Abstract: We define what it means for elements in a ring to be zero divisors. We give example zero divisors in Z/10Z, example zero divisors in the subring of diagonal 2x2 matrices, and example zero divisors in the ring of functions from the reals to the reals. Zero divisors can exist in rings, but not in fields.
