Sad news to announce, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 is going to end tomorrow! What a shame those operating systems where the world to us!

To thank them I made this little compilation about Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.

Three years ago you could use Windows 7 still with and extended versions now this is even not possible anymore.

Legends never die. This applies to Windows 7 also. My first pc had reinstallation from vista to 7. I really liked 7, but it didn't suport all things I needed. (I have still the old pc at home with win 7 and working)

This was the last Windows before Microsoft turned evil. The last one that had a personality. The last one I loved. As of January 10th, 2023, Extended Security Updates for Windows 7 are ending. Windows 7 was a huge chunk of nostalgia for me. I have used it for so long. Now, there's nothing I can do about it. I miss you, Windows 7. Rest in eternal peace.

I have 2 copies of 8.1, 2 copies of 8, 2 of 7, 1 of Vista and 2 of XP and some pre-2000 boot disks. Windows 8.1 was one of my favourite systems (and 7 was too, Windows 8.1 was on the Windows RT branding) and it is sad to see them go, well, they might not be now in the (alive) systems of Microsoft, but will remain in our hearts, both of them, no matter if it is ARM32 or x86, it still remains with us.

My mom's old PC was a Windows 7 touchscreen all-in-one computer. And I had a Windows 8.1 computer before it broke. Those were some good times.

Windows 8.1 kinda spawned an era where microsoft listened to their consumers, and it helped building windows 10 is a big way.

I've been using Windows 8.1 for a long time it was little bit faster than windows 10 and i kinda like the Metro UI but i've decide to upgrade just for security

And Windows 7 is the most awesome OS i've ever used since i was a kid i used to play Purble Place, Chess, etc.

I'm just too lazy to use a Virtual Machine

I’m going to miss 8.1. It was like a cross between 7 and 10.

I used it around 8-10 years ago, and it was better than Windows 10 and 11. I had a theme installed that made the start menu look just like the start menu on Windows 7.

I also tried hard many times to install it over the past year and a half, but it won’t work on my modern hardware.

It was my biggest regret not getting it to work 1 year ago, and also a month ago, and I even tried it just a couple of days ago, but it never properly installed.


I’ve been trying to install it since this Christmas, and I’ve also tried many times more than a year before that.

It’s been a sad week so far, but all good things come to an end.

Windows 7 was supposed to stop updating it from 2020 but those from Microsoft kept updating it and gave it a little more time to live
