Recording voiceover / audiobooks in Logic Pro X

My 1st video detailing how to set up a template in Logic Pro X for recording voiceovers, particularly audiobooks. This is for a clean recording with no stacks, plugins etc.

Thank you for this Liam. I began with using GB and Logic for Music and so was accustomed to the interface. I have Audacity but am more familiar with Logic. I have just begun a 600 page project on Buddhism and wanted the chapters to all be consistent with each other.
I've noticed that ACX wants
44100 K not 48000.
WAV
24 Bit Mininmum Resolution
1 to 2 Seconds at the Top, Silence, Room Tone
3 to 5 Seconds at the Tail, Silence, Room Tone
Recording
Constant Bit Rate, not Variable
Make sure you're all Mono
Noise Floor -60 dB
RMS measure between -23dB and -18dB RMS 
and have -3dB peak values and 
a maximum -60dB noise floor
be a 192kbps or higher MP3, 
Constant Bit Rate (CBR) at 44.1 kHz.
The ACX Standard is so Specific it would be terrific to see if there was a Checklist to set this template so that all the above is matched...
I'm worried to do 50 or 60 chapters and then have to go back and redo because they failed the ACX thresholds....

Liam your videos on recording voiceover in logic are so helpful. I really hope you make more. I’d love to see your template for commercial recordings as I’m curious why it differs from your audiobook template. I know it’s been a while since you made these so it’s a long shot, but you have a wonderful way of explaining it all.

On my computer, the minute I go to full screen I lose significant resolution. Some of the smaller menus he's pulling down and referring to are nearly impossible to read. I have a higher-end MacBook Pro with a retina display so the problem is not on my end. Might I suggest zooming in to some of the features as they are being talking about, or using a high resolution output?

LIAM, thanks for this, however it does address the VBR settings for audio books. Can you share that? I completed and audio book and am not passing the requirements of Audio book recordings. Very frustrating! No help form the site because I use Logic Pro x...maybe you could help me with the particular audio settings (dB, RMS Mostly the Variable Bit Rate...VBR settings I can't seem to re do them. Ugh tried everything! Lisa
