Range Rover Sport Plug-In Hybrid P400e | NOW the Right Choice?!

Hello and welcome back to Life In Motion! My name's Jack and in this video, I'm taking a look a this now 'old shape' Range Rover Sport.

Off the back of the new Range Rover Sport release, it got me wondering whether this previous generation car is NOW good value for money. When they were hitting late £80k's, I was struggling to justify one over something like an Audi Q7, however now the prices have gone down, for £55k-£60k, it's very difficult to beat this car.

I've concentrated specifically on the Plug-in Hybrid nature of this car. With roughly 30 miles of electric only range, and a combined 88.3mpg (and not to forgot 6.3 seconds 0-62), it seems that this Range Range Sport is not only supremely comfortable and filled with tech, but is also economical.

I am debating whether I personally sell my car and look for something big, and this Sport may just about tick all the boxes. What do you think? Comment below what you think of this Sport, whether it does show good value for money, and whether or not I should buy one!

As always, thanks for watching. Make sure to subscribe to see plenty of future videos to come but for now, I'll see you soon!

The Range Rover sport p400e has 398bhp… not 297bhp. Other than that great video 😊

just got one, looks a bit posey and suits me fine its white metallic with black pack including wheels drives amazing, best car ever for comfort. Hoping in the next year to learn how to work all the bits on the touch screen. It is a great car though. Great video as well 👍

Great review, thanks! This is literally the model im thinking about getting next
any concerns about reliability? Constant comments in every car mag " reliability remains a worry" Doesn't do much for the confidence if you're lashing out so much cash ! Any thoughts? Dom

I want a Range Rover but every car expert I know is telling me to go for a Porsche cayenne or Audi q8/sq8 because of reliability issues.. that’s my biggest concern I don’t want to buy something and then have it be in the garage so many times spending so much on repairs..

Is it sluggish in electric mode which means not going to be used like in my currently bmw x5 eco mode, no one uses it but use comfort

They are a classy car, but I don't know that 60k for an out of warranty Rangie represents value, guess it depends on how lucky you feel. The PHEV life can work though, that is what we do but if it wasn't for towing it'd be straight BEV.

What’s the performance like on electric power alone?

As a daily, I think the Jaguar I pace, you seen to like the quietness! They are also great value used, £35k buys a nice one.
