Jay have to agree with you about not over complicating your set up. Go back to basics, they worked before, they will work now.
Mackerel pound for pound are one of the hardest fighting fish in the sea.
Those maccys sure looked good, can’t beat fresh fish.

since my back gave up on me float fishing and spinning is my love now .. i can't cast a beach caster these days . you can catch anything when float fishing . get a nice rock mark get a sandeel on chop one up small drop little bits around your float and whammo . back home to do a smash fishing cook up hell yeah ...
