Funny I don’t see any other car manufacturers that are working on batteries this hard. It shows how Tesla understands the future above all others. BYD is the only other. Would love a big boost in battery tech but really we just need a little more charging. It’s shameful the US is not installing chargers everywhere the past 10 years. The federal government has not helped accelerate EV charging infrastructure. We need someone else besides Tesla to build out a charger network. Or we need to help Tesla build their network faster.

One major factor you didn’t (yet) include is the likelihood of major supply chain disruptions, with associated shutdowns, layoffs, bankruptcies, etc. Many of those factors have deep and long term consequences.

For Tesla, it is distressing that their only product experiencing significant growth, Megapacks, relies on imported LFP pouch cells from China. So profitability from the US plant may be nonexistent.

Good analysis except for 1 flaw. According to Scott Bessent, the top 10% of Americans own 50% of the stock market. The next 42% own the remaining 50%, and the bottom 48% own nothing and has debt. So in general the top 52% will be hit and the bottom 48% will be unaffected. Hope you can comment on this

It seems more likely that the range extender will be cancelled because there's simply no demand for the CyberTruck itself. They've sold around 40K CTs to date so they probably did the math on how many they could potentially sell to this customer base and decided not to waste any more resources on it.
The bigger question is if this is also a precursor to the discontinuation of the CyberTruck...

Having watched Tesla rise and fall more than 50% multiple times since I started buying it 5 years ago I can honestly say this current drop hasn't really phased me.

The first portion of this video ought to be part of a required high school and college course in economics and how money works. Maybe drop some of the lessor important requirements and make everyone more educated on economics. The average American just has no clue. Hell, I had no clue and am basically self taught just by living many decades but I certainly could have used this info 40 years ago and going forward.

And as SMR keeps saying, you haven't had a loss unless you sold. I was just telling my older sister this today as she was freaking out about her IRA tanking the last week. I was like, chill sis, this too shall pass. Just stop looking at it.
