In this episode, we are joined by Andrew Copson to discuss the very divisive and controversial topic of secularism. He is a writer and has authored several articles and books on secularism and humanism including “Secularism: Politics, Religion, and Freedom” which was published by the Oxford University Press. He is also the Chief Executive of Humanists UK, a charity dedicated to the secularization of the UK with a focus on human rights and the President of Humanists International which is a similar organization working at an international scale. He is also a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts. This episode was recorded on the 18th of June, 2021.

This episode is also dedicated to Avijit Roy, who was murdered by supporters of theocratic despotism on this day in 2015. He was a famed writer and founder of the Muktomona blog- the largest blog for Bengali speaking secularists. May the ideals of rationalism and tolerance he lived by go on to create a better world!
