Top Street Food I Recommend You Try! 🇰🇷 Namdaemun Market Seoul Korea
Показать описание
Seoul, South Korea - If you are looking to do some shopping and try some traditional Korean food, make your way to Namdaemun Market (남대문시장) . This market has it all, such as souvenirs, clothes, luggage, shoes and much, much more. But as a foodie, I go to Namdaemun to have some authentic traditional Korean food.
Now you can go to Gwangjang Market and get similar foods. But at Namdaemun, you’re going to have good quality food at a lower price. Being that it was rather cold on this day, I wanted to have some warm, comfort food. So, I made my way to Kalguksu Alley to find me some knife-cut noodles. This noodle dish reminds me of chicken noodle soup, with handmade noodles that is springy and chewy.
I also had to stop by this mandu restaurant with a huge line. I think this was the best decision I’ve made, when it comes to waiting in line for food. This mandu (dumplings) were the best I’ve ever had and I would highly, highly recommend you wait in line for these dumplings.
Of course, I had to get some tteokbokki and odeng, along with some hotteok from this popular street cart selling a new type of hotteok. Yachae Hotteok has a filling of glass noodles, veggies, some soy sauce and sesame oil. This filling is similar to japchae, which is a popular side dish in Korea. Then I finished the day with a Korean sweet potato, called Goguma. This sweet potato was roasted in these roasting ovens, which bake them perfectly.
So, if you find yourself in Seoul, don’t forget to stop by Namdaemun. I think you’ll have fun time shopping and eating your way through this market.
