I used to have a neighbor who had 3 Great Pyrenees and they took out and killed a mother Black Bears. I have a Pyrenees and an Akbash and they kill coyotes, raccoons and feral cats but are gentle and protective towards livestock and poultry. The Akbash is a little wary of people.
