I remember watching a documentary of all the deadly wildlife in Australia. After going through them all, the presenter walked down a street in Sydney, mentioning that traffic in Sydney alone caused more deaths every year than all the animals combined.

Fun fact about pufferfish. Dolphins are immune to its venom. They’ve also been seen throwing it around like a toy and getting High from injection of its venom into their system.

My aunt contracted Ross River Virus a few years ago from a mosquito bite, which later turned into Ross River Fever. She was really unwell for a few months, and it took a long time to fully recover. She was tired all the time, had very little energy as well as sore/stiff joints. Australia may be famous for its snakes and spiders, but our mosquitos really pack a punch too!
