So for now I give up on restoring this computer. At least a learned a few things, so It's not just wasted time. The videos are pretty bad, but perhaps they can be useful if someone else want's to repair a similar machine.

Sorry it didn't quite work out. I hope you find another one. I know you will. Just keep an eye out on every local seller board, eBay, etc.!

When you find another one, pay well over $100 for shipping, double boxed with tons of roam and padding, and shipped through a reputable carrier. My 425 was shipped by the most damaging company (UPS) but because it was double boxed it made it all the way from New York to Texas just fine.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Too bad it didn't work out but your measurements really suggest the monitor portion of this computer is FUBAR.
Still the rest of the hardware might come in handy when you find another one of those. Plus you now have a spare tube that seems to be working fine for when another burns out :-)
