Working and living in Germany (specifically Berlin) as a Software Developer might sometimes be different to what you are used to. What does the job market look like, how big is the tech scene, what salaries to expect, how are people there? These are questions every foreigner asks before deciding to move to a different country. As someone who moved to Germany 3 years ago and works as a Developer, I may have some insights that I would like to share with you.

Thank you for making this video. I'm planning to work in Germany next July. Since I'm not fluent in speaking English, I've really focusing on it these days. Your video makes me more eager to work there! Thanks~

9:45 Hello, as a German I can tell that "Lederhosen" are especially a tradition in Bavaria (German state)

Hahaha, good video! It is interesting to see how foreigners see working culture in Germany. Although I’d disagree on 2 things: I’d call Munich the Silicon Valley of Germany. Berlin is more like NY. Berlin have some tech but also many other things! Where Munich is all about tech. If you want to see more Lederhosen you need to go to Bavaria. You will see it more on the streets but not in working environment. Unless it is Oktoberfest time and you work at Wiesn

Hallo! I lived in Germany for 3 months and I really liked It. I'm a Full Stack developer with 4 years of experience but I don't have any degree, I would like to move there but I don't feel confident because most of people there have a lot of degrees and I don't know if I can compete with that. Do you have any advice for people like me?

The „Lederhose“ only is a thing in the south of Germany (specifically Bavaria). Most Germans from middle and north Germany find it as weird as foreigners probably do. Like this, many cliches about German Culture are actually Bavarian and not a thing in other parts of Germany.

HAHAHAH! As a mexican you got me laughing out loud at that last comment about mexicans thinking that germans don't smile... because its so true, that's what I thought of my German teacher but in reality he was really nice and kind.

Heyyy, I currently live in Austria and I consider doing a coding bootcamp (Fullstack development). After that I would like to move to germany. Have you considered doing video on coding bootcamps? Are they accepted? I read Master degree in CS is very important in DE. I do have an industrial engineering masters. Do you think it will be positive? Or would they look at me like instable person changing the career after studies? 🤷‍♀️

Hi! Currently I work in Bielefeld as a UX designer and am thinking about switching my career. I took a web dev bootcamp and will finish it in a couple weeks. My question is, will companies hire someone who attended bootcamps? I don't have any tech backgrounds but would love to start in this industry. Thanks!
