Rebecca Clark was hiking in a Texas state park when she came across a herd of bison. She waited for the beasts to pass and proceeded to engage in a friendly conversation with the animals. Then one bison turned around and growled before charging at her. The beast gored her in the back, sending Clark into a thorny bush. With limited cell phone service to call 911, she sent a text message to her 22-year-old son for help. Clark spent six days in the hospital with a large gash on her back.

A good friend of an uncle was a park ranger. He said he stopped feeling bad for people who did stupid things like this. I don’t blame him.

She even noticed that the bisons had "babies" with them, but still decided to get so close. That's pretty much asking for it.

What a horrible experience with a vicious, nasty creature. I sure hope that bison is okay.

She knew they had babies and heard the growls yet wanted us to wish her well.

This is the equivalent of walking up to a grizzly with cubs and expecting her to let you walk by. If you’re going to be out in nature, respect the wildlife.

Talking to a wild animal like it's a child is not a good idea.

I absolutely Love it when idiots get tossed in the air by wild animals. Warms my heart!

The bison was clearly growling at her and she was oblivious to it and kept getting closer.

She's lucky she wasn't killed! Bison defends itself from her getting that close. It's never a good idea to ever get that close to an animal that big! Stay away and give them space! You don't bother them they won't bother you!

Humanity needs to respect animals, period.

You clearly didn’t wait for them to leave… walk the opposite direction, she knew what she was doing, going viral 😂

The day that you were attacked at the park was the most important day of your life. But, for Bison, it was Tuesday.

The growling the male was doing after they passed by was a warning.
He continued to growl as she was trying to pass by. Then he saw her being too close and took action.

How did she not realize they were growling at her to leave them alone???

Am I the only one who doesn't feel any kind of sympathy for her what so ever? She deserved what she got. Maybe next time she will learn just cause you talk to a wild animal in a nice calm tone doesn't mean it will not attack you if you get too close to their young.

We know bison is one the wildest animal. We should at least respect their space.

He warned her by growling several times.
I guess she doesn't understand animals warnings.
