I had the luck to have met Mr. Larson & sat next to him for lunch one fine Saturday. When a second D-Day vet named Woody, sat down across the table. I watched & listened in utter bewilderment as two almost hundred year old men realized this fact & became two, 17 year old, young, stern voiced, virile minded soldiers, in front of my eyes! Comparing & confirming their experiences from either side of Normandy beach. First hand stories from the Greatest of the brave of the Greatest generation! I was wowed! Somewhere in the middle of this amazing showing of the power human mind, they stopped comparing & began telling me their war experiences as if I was a ghost writer to author their autobiography. Truly humbled to have met them!
Yes he did change my outlook on life.

No matter what we think, the reality is these men, and the few that are left, either put all they had on the line, some lost all they had. And our country forgets it was for us, parents sit back and give their kids technology which doesn't do any good for the kid, when they're parents fought in Vietnam, and theirs fought in ww2. This man has nothing left, and is saying he is blessed. The mindset difference is truly incredible, thanks to nit only his age but his experiences throughout his life. Be happy guys. Life is beautiful, you take it all for granted and never realize what you have, truly.
