Thanks for the inspiration, I've been throwing LCs recently nonstop and getting bit! Its been so much fun, hoping to land bigger fish with it soon. 🙏🏽🙌🏽

Works great in San Diego bay as well, usually get hit after a twitch and a slight pause.

I fish mostly for surf perch (and stripers) in NorCal. However, in 38 years in Alaska, I have fished many waters (and caught 000.0+ numbers of 5 species of salmon and many other fish BUT I always felt my terminal bait, lure, spinner, or jerk bait when retrieving. However, when I cast jerk baits (LC, Calissa, Battle Star and others) in the surf I seldom feel the lure action (catch up with it, dead water casts?). That makes me want to throw some "lead" lures so I can feel them and know they're working.. I'm 80 years old so I mostly avoid waves and don't wader out past knee highs. I do have good "waders" and shoes!! WHY no lure action? TOO MANY QUESTIONS???

Thanks. I wondered about this. I need to add the twitch.

Have you had luck, with the sand crab color luckycraft?

I find it BEST to do a slower retrieve than you, with more twitches and less pauses. However, I speed up the retrieve once I feel the slack line building up after each twitch. I always get bit this way, only cause Ive never found success retrieving fast. Then again( I have yet to fish the surf, I mainly use waders and fish calmer saltwater. I think your method is still gold, I need to try it in the surf.

Can you run straight braid with the lucky craft and if not will 12 pound fluorocarbon work?

I've tried using this same lure last week, and it wasn't that good. The moment I cast it, the waves immediately pushed it back towards the shore so easily.
