I really hope that buying the lamp adds a dialogue option at the end of the game where Harry mentions to his squad before they climb into the police cruiser that he needs to make a stop at the pawn shop to "pick something up." That'd be fun if there was an achievement for ending the game while bringing the lamp home with you, like how you get an achievement for recruiting Kim and Cuno.

I was told that this item is a joke at the expense of you, the player, but while watching this video I noticed the game awards you 5 experience points for the purchase, which amounts to roughly 0, 007 experience points per real spent. Quite the bargain, I concur.

For all those who do not know, you can actually buy this lamp without the 700 real in a normal playthrough
If you decided to persue the ultra-liberal quest and got the shates from super-rich light bending guy you can negotiate the lamp for the cut of your shares
It still does nothing and you still can use it, but the sing on the light would say something along the lines "belongs to a disco-cop, bought for shares in <the name of the corporation that I do not remember"

this street light genuinely makes me question how revachol's economy works. I mean, I know it doesn't work. I just wonder how roy can charge 700 real for a lamp and expect anyone to take him up on it. is that a reasonable price for lamps, even expensive ones? that's like 350 packs of smokes. a real life lamp only costs around 4 or 5 packs of cigarettes, and that's for a nice one. maybe he was just hoping nobody would buy it.

Love it. Pointless and expensive stuff you can't even carry around or even take it as you have no way to carry it but you make money for it and buy it anyway (not sure its even possible to hussle this much money but why not). Its absolute have nothing to do with the case or with anyone around you.
