To make it easier to know when to switch knitting pattern, use stitch markers. One marker at each border edge by the knit or purl section prompts a change of how to make the stitches. Marker can be a piece of contrasting waste yarn or a stitch marker ring.

This is a great pattern, as so many knit blankets have a back side that is not too pretty, this is the same pattern front and back.

That’s the same photo I downloaded and planned to make, using the same yarn 😂 I’m glad to see someone had used it and made the same blanket. I think the person used superwashed merino tho. Made a swatch with it and my arm was sore. I noticed it was more slippery on my metal needles than an acrylic does. I had decided to try superwash for a swatch bc I plan on making a couple of blankets with the same pattern. It’ll be the first time I use Nako Elit Baby. If I feel it’s taking too long, then I’ll double strand it next time and use bigger needles 😂

When you discovered your mistake, you could have fixed it with a crochet hook. Let out a few stitches and then knit and pearled going up with the crochet hook

Thank you so much for the 'cast on' video. I have got the hang of it now. Two more questions! I'm using 100% pure DK cotton yarn - is that OK? It looks thinner than the one you are using. I also want to use three different colours - is that possible do you think?
