How to Knit the 'Daisy' Baby Blanket

Daisy is a perfect example of a project not needing to be complicated to be interesting and modern. Using a simple simple one row repeat, Daisy is a beautifully soft garter stitch blanket, with little columns of purl stitches adding a tiny bit of texture just to make her stand out from the crowd.

VIDEO CORRECTION: Cast on should be 133, not 131. The pattern multiple explanation is correct but I made a mistake when stating the number of stitches for the blanket I made. Sorry for any confusion 🙈

I have knitted the The Henry Baby Blanket as a present for a baby boy.
Now I’m looking for another one of your patterns for a baby girl . I would like to knit it in cotton ( Iride by Manifattura Sesia) with needle number 3 .
I like Daisy blanket . Do you think it will be nice with this kind of yarn? It could be double face?
Thanks!❤

Thank you! This is great for what I call “mindless” knitting. 😊 You give me so many great ideas I’ll never be able to knit them all! 🥰

Do you have to slip the last stitch purl

Thanks for the casting off tip! I was wondering about that. Also, I made a 20 stitch swatch last night and tried your last stitch method (I usually knit the back), and I ended up with an extra stitch which apparently had been a several rows later when I noticed 😂

Can you not get a written copy of pattern without putting in your credit card details?

HI Laurelin, your tutorials and clarity in which you teach patterns and projects are amazing and very high quality! I was wondering whether you would ever consider making a tutorial for sweaters/jumpers tutorials in the future? Thank you for sharing these patterns, they've been very very helpful for me as a visual learner!

Thanks for sharing a lovely pattern. I discovered a problem with the cast on of 131 sts. 131 sts. is not a multiple if 6 +1 like the original pattern says. 6x21=126+1=127, & 6x22=132+1=133. So, I had to cast on 133 sts.
