Oh my god, Darius said that Hunter was not fit for the role of the golden guard and wanted to test Hunter, because every other golden guard rebelled against Belos. Darius wanted to see if Hunter is the same, if he is like the other golden guards, rebelling against evil, thus making him worthy of the sygil. How the hell had I never understood it until now lmao

Can we just take a moment to appreciate despite how he seemed to view Eberwolf with disdain the first time he appeared, he's later perfectly comfortable having them on his shoulder and even backs down from a fight when they're threatened

Darius is a Legend and MOST be protected. Hunter can not lose another father figure.

Darius was more of a father figure to Hunter than Belos ever was.

One small thing I noticed is that all the Coven Heads are ironic in a way.
-The Bard Head is scared of performing in front of others.
-The Abomination Head is a clean freak, despite being made of Abomination Goo.
-The Illusion Head spent his entire episode looking for the truth behind Gus’ illusions.
-The Plant Head has an extreme bloodlust, despite taking care of plants means you have to nurture them with kindness.
-The Healing Head was the most eager to resort to violence when Eda attempted to infiltrate the Day Of Unity.
-The Emperor can’t do proper magic.
-The Beast Keeping Head is a beast themselves.
-The Construction Head is only shown destroying things, instead of constructing.
We don’t know much about the Potion or Oracle Coven Heads, but it’s easy to assume they are ironic as well.

Darius and Hunter's relationship gets basically no screen time, all in the background, and yet we are here for daddy-Darius looking after his beau's clone.

I love how Darius while smart and maybe less willing to harm children face to face than other residents of the isles, has no problem letting flesh eating beetles be released into a crowd and "leaving it up to nature" who gets eaten.

I really hope that Darius is okay in the end. He's the only true "father" that Hunter ever had and I hope they're eventually reunited.

I haven't seen anyone point this out but, I'm super glad Raine let themselves be caught and basically not let Eda finished their original plan; because not only would Luz and King be devastated and alone, but Eda and Raine would have literally taken out the only other two coven heads AGAINST Belos' plan. No one else would help, and thus dooming them all.

Not to mention Hunter would have had no one; no help, no phone for outside connection, and more toll on his mental health because he wouldn't have an adult looking after him.

I found it adorable how everytime something related to Alador he would always comment something mean. It's kind of funny and it also seems that he doesn't complitily hate Alador but is holding a grudge against him. Now I maybe Darius took a liking to Alador and was hurt when Odalia and Darius started dating so he distance himself from them or Odalia saw potential in Alador and started to date him just for money and Darius tried to warn him but Alador didn't listen.

darius is a perfect example of how a secret hero should be imo. He completely diverted expectations, everyone loved him from seeing him before he even spoke, and hes got an amazing power. bro literally checks all the boxes

Fun fact, Darius's abomination hair is actually his palisman Bell. Who he keeps hidden for obvious reasons

Knowing that he was trying to talk with Rain about going against the covens, but his first reactions was to yell “you’ll regret what you did to my cloak!” He was probably truly angry, Eber was probably “Dude, keep to the script!” And then Darius probably remembered the plan only then.
