As a new gardener, I could love this video a million times over. Absolutely fantastic! Thanks, so much!

As exciting and fun as it is to be in the garden, remember to take regular breaks and stay hydrated especially in the sun and heat.

Jim, the amount of knowledge you share with your viewers is amazing….Thank you so much for giving us the opportunity to learn from you….sometimes you say things off-the-cuff in a matter of fact way and I’m sure you don’t realize the little gems of wisdom you’re casually throwing out…as if everyone already knew….☺️👍🏽❤️

Thank you for these monthly checklists. They are very useful. I cannot believe your garden is looking so great in its 2nd year.

Jim, thank you so much for being my “guide” on what I should be doing.
I was away for 3 weeks, but my garden held up pretty well because of your tips.
Thank you so much!!!

Love my Cosmos, which yellow finches also love, as well as my coneflowers & goldenrod. I learned something from my Dad, when I’d asked why he didn’t cut back his lavender plants. He left them for yellow finches too, so I’m trying that this year to find out for myself. Thanks for your videos, a wealth of knowledge! Watching from up North near Niagara Falls, Canada.

I’ve never seen a humming bird do that! That was fantastic; thanks for sharing.

Your whole garden is absolutely amazing - the view from your front fence there - wow!

August already! This year is zooming by way too fast for me. The Hummingbird eating gnats amazed me. I didn't know they did that. Always learning something new. Thanks for these videos, Jim.

These garden checklist videos are so helpful to your fellow 7b gardeners! I love how you’ve laid out your front and back gardens. #gardengoals 🙂

LOVED the video of the hummingbird feasting those gnats. They are my favorites! The hummers...not the gnats.

Like the format of this video - you out in the garden showing how and what you would do regarding the various chores on this month’s list.
Squirrel! In this case: hummingbird! You remind me of me. Doesn’t matter what I might be doing, I’ll stop in my tracks to observe a hummer or any other bird for that matter. One of my favorite birds, but only seen and heard in Spring and Fall in my yard, is the catbird. I love hearing it in many of your videos! Right now, I hear an Eastern Towhee in the background while a male cardinal makes an appearance behind you in the veggie garden. (Yes, I’m obsessed)!

I would absolutely love to see a video on the difference between what is under vs over watered especially on newer plants in our landscapes. I think we tend to over water but the symptoms of both look almost the same to us newbie gardeners!

Soooo helpful! You answered a lot of questions I had in my mind as I walked in my yard today. Thank you!

Your videos are great you explain everything so well! Your landscaping is beautiful!

When I worked in the industry, I would tell clients that there's a difference between watering & throwing water at a plant. Other than annuals, deeper & less frequent watering makes deeper roots & happier plants.
Tomatoes have done well for me, beans are slow & my peppers haven't done well at all. Counting on you to get me through to the fall!

Jim you are a wealth of knowledge! Thank you.

Great tips, I have several plants in containers that I plan to plant in Sept. I have them throughout the yard. Going to move them now to one location for easier watering, sounds obvious but yet never thought about that haha! Thanks for the useful recommendations Jim!

Great video again. I like the idea of planning in August, yes, it’s muggy and too hot here in Texas. Tfs. 👏🏻💕👏🏻

I just want to go shopping with you for plants. Your annual choices are awesome.
