this is very true. Back in my single days at church someone asked my best friend where I was one Sunday and she replied that my mom was coming to visit, the whole singles department says, " we understand why he didn't make it to church"

I remember the first time we had AZ family visit. I distinctly recall shampooing the carpet and painting the living room, bathroom, and kitchen.
I remember that when we’d visit the family in AZ, they’d be like, “Thank you for being willing to go to all this trouble for a visit!” Mama’d smile and assure them that the 3-day drive was no trouble at all. Just once, I would like to have piped up, “She’s not kidding!!”

So true!! I remember once when I was pregnant with my second child and my parents came to help me. I had made a comprehensive list of things to clean and she found it. She was impressed ( since according to her I never learned how to clean...* hint * I was her maid until moved out!) I had included the baseboards. Lolol
