No gear talk, no brand recommendations, just pure camera settings and techniques. I always learn something new from these videos, even if they're on the simplest topics.

Simon is, hands down, the coolest Youtube uncle we all need.

Man, honestly, you're a rare case of inspiration. Every time I watch your videos I feel an incredible urge to get out and take some photos. I do it just as a hobby and my photos are nothing special, but I really enjoy it. Just don't stop, it's a real pleasure and very useful too. Thank you!

Saying "thank you" does not begin to express how grateful I am for this tutorial, Simon, but it will have to do. You make life so much easier for us. (salute emoji)

This is the best video for this topic I've ever seen. Simple. No 50% gear talk. Everyone can indeed try it. Thanks a lot!

Probably the best video I've seen for how to shoot a noise-free foreground and merge it with the Milky Way shots. Thanks so much for making this.

Simon, I sincerely appreciate what you do! This could easily be a paid course ! All your knowledge can be part of a top notch photography class and yet you still do it for free!
Thank you thank you!

I appreciate it so so much! Especially because you are great, explaining it so easily and with such an amazing attitude! For me that I do not have a photography class around me I feel blessed with this 🙏

Thank you for this. I've finished a project for my day to day job and needed a way to show it off. What better way than a city streetscape with a starry sky. I made sure all shots were taken roughly in the same South Westerly direction.

I live in Grand Cayman, and I’m so glad I’ve found your videos.Your videos have been my go to for learning photography and inspiration. I feel like I can try different genres and not limit myself to one type of photography. Thank you! Keep up the great work!

Simon: for all the things I have learned (and continue to learn) from you, thank you. You are an extraordinary photographer and, dare I say, an even better educator, not just a 'simple' teacher! All the best from Portugal.

You really are quite a remarkable photographer AND instructor, Simon. Your combination of skill sets (photography, both artistic and technical, theory and practice; communication and teaching; and audio-video production for your YT channel; not to mention your unambiguous enthusiasm and compassion, to name only a few) are just HUGELY nurturing and inspirational to your 632, 000 subscribers AND to the millions of others who've benefited from your channel but haven't yet subscribed. THANK YOU SO MUCH for sharing what is apparently your bottomless well of knowledge, talent, and kindness, Simon. Truly astonishing content (and production) quality. Deepest respect and gratitude...
