I was recently mowing a lawn and came upon a chipmunk with it's arm caught in a jawz mouse trap. Made me feel good to set him free. I hope his arm heals.

Aw, what a little cutie! Chipmunks are so adorable. I have one that hangs around in my yard. Luckily, he doesn't do any damage, so I can enjoy him. If he caused problems I would trap him, but he's never chewed anything.

Would turning the trap upside down: let the animal escape? It seems easier than having to unscrew the trap's back.

Chipmunks are MY nuisance I need to get rid of. I've caught a lot with similar type cage I bought on Amazon and a few others with the rolling pin trap.

Shawn, might I suggest more rolling log traps? Those are the ones that I initially was looking at when I found your channel. I'd like to see you take it up another level and do multiple logs or maybe even come up with your own dropping mechanisms. I think seeing some innovation of your own would be really interesting to watch.

@Shawn: Really enjoyed your video. Wished I Found this item several years ago when I had a pesky chipmunk that kept getting into the house. He found out our screen door spring to close wasn't working so well and was able to get in & eat our pet bird's sunflower seeds & peanuts. Thank you for sharing.

I have too many chipmunks around my house and have been using a 'Have a Heart' trap to catch them. There is a wooded area about a half-mile from my house and my daughter and I drop them off there.
