I don't know the game code, but I know that sleeping in a bed puts you in "Death/bed mode" (In earlier versions you could destroy the bed while sleeping to get in Death mode). You can run into walls and jump into ceilings, you can't swim in water/you just fall through it.
Originally I achieved it with the Cheat Pack mod that allowed you to continue after death.. It didn't get you out of the death mode tho.
Sometime later I discovered that destroying beds caused to get into the mode.

I have to say, the last few mythbusting episodes have been really informative. Keep up the good work Xisuma!

I'd like to see a video about Village Sieges, like how the game decides for a siege to occur and how siege zombies are different from regular zombies.
I think this is a topic that not many players are familiar with, as there usually aren't populous villages around for us to see sieges in.

Minecraft beds are very buggy? I guess you're never really safe from bedbugs.

Love the pixel images showing the items you're going to test. Do you make those yourself?

Xisuma, in my experience, a named tool requires less raw materials to repair. Don't know if that could help for a shovel, but it works for diamond pickaxes. Could be an episode! Love the series, thanks for your work.

Congratulations on your 400th video xisuma!

Not taking suffocation damage is actually normal behavior, as the players head (and not feet) has to be inside of the block for if to happen. The video shows the block being in the subject's feet, so you've got a false conclusion on that issue.

I like how you can really tell the difference in someone’s voice in their older videos

This was really interesting, I didn't know any of these things! So thanks for another interesting video of myth busting, learning loads!

Please do a myth busting about which things result in you losing your spawn point and whether other is any way to fix it. E.g. breaking a bed and then replacing it in the exact position it was in does or doesn't keep the spawn point

I saw in the video, during the piston testing, that the players head was inside the head of the piston, that's why he took no suffocation damage. ( for those who don't know, when the player's head is inside transparent blocks like piston heads or glass, the player will not take damage.)

hey Xisuma, a myth you should test is if blocks break slower if youre standing on them compared to if you arent :)

Rabenschild did not take any suffocation damage from the block, as it was not occupying the air space that his head was in. It destroyed the bed when it was pushed by a piston, and since pistons are transparent, they do not deal suffocation damage to players (or any entities at all), even when they occupy the same space as the player's head.

The fastest way to find out is by using world edit. All you have to do is select the desert with the wand (//wand) and then replace the iron ore with any other block so that when it's done replacing it will tell you how many blocks were replaced, and then just do the same thing with the other biomes. (//replace)

when you get saplings from leaves which do you have a higher chance when you break leaves by yourself or leaving them to do it themselves

If any, I suppose it will be blocks that don't take up a whole block (iron bars, fences, glass panes, ladders). I suppose it might only work if you have a block on top of it (because they can't climb the ceiling to go from the fence, over the ceiling to the whole block).

Can you do an episode of mythbusting over the enchanted books and the optimal xp levels that give you certain enchantments?
