i would take an sd card slot over a gba slot tbh

dsi better 🥱, just install custom firmware and you can play gba, gbc and gb (and no need for a flashcard 🤫)

Agreed, as much as the DSI had it’s social features, the GBA slot was my way of not needing to buy a GBA back in the day.

Yeah but the DSi is better cause of the camera and ui (like you said) but it can still run GBA games through twilight menu. So without spending your money on tons of Gameboy Advance games, just spend it on an SD card. You can then homebrew your DSi and play those games. Not only that but hombrewing can also give you a big potential. You can play NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Game Gear, Gameboy, Gameboy colour etc

is this really the only reason people put the ds lite over the dsi? because of gba games? like come on! the dsi has exclusive titles use the hardware to its fullest and can connect to modern routers easier than the lite!
not to mention the better ui and faster processing speed.
if I really wanted to play gba games, you can mod the dsi with an sd card instead of a r4 card. people are sleeping on this console! >:(

So the only reason why you don’t like it is because it’s not retro compatible with the gba. And plus if it could run more then gba cartridges i would understand but it doesn’t.

GBA games are obsolete. Any game with graphics like that is obsolete. Back then, sure! But GBA games cannot be considered fun or enjoyable when compared to what we have now.
