A story about one of the worst scandals in family channel history.

Myka and James Stauffer adopted a boy from China and a few years later returned him.

The whole influencer culture is, at best, bizarre and, at worst, downright creepy. Myka and James were two of the most despised people ever. What they did - from adopting Huxley for “views” to abandoning him - is unconscionable. I’m glad that Huxley has a safe, loving family. I also hope they changed his name.

My late husband and I adopted two special needs kids from foster care and they were TOUGH, TOUGH kids and I never once thought of returning them. They were 5 1/2 and 10 1/2 when we got them and had lived in 8 homes over 5 1/2 years.

This is a great video! The Stauffers recieved unending backlash bc of Huxley's situation. They had him for 3 years and then quit on him. Many saw it as even more trauma bc of his condition. There are so many videos pointing out how Huxley was treated differently from their bio kids. They couldn't handle his trauma and they refused to change for him. Even tho he had severe anxiety with food, they didnt try to learn about his food anxiety and how to help him. Instead he would be punished! There's so much about this situation that is horrible

Thank God Huxley is in a loving family!!! My husband and i adopted a 10 month old baby boy from Korea with a cleft lip and cleft palate. We later discovered he had autism. Im not going to say it was easy but i am going to say my son is worth it!!! Our family bonded together around our boy with protection and love!!! We fought the school system, the city with there budget cuts and even many health care providers. My son is now 21 and doing great!!! He lives at home and is a Blessing and a joy!!!

Motherhood is a commitment. No matter what you face, you stay. You love them through the hard times. You're their support. You're their world. I will never understand how people just give up on their kids, adopted or not.

I'm glad he has a loving family now.

This makes me furious. I have a special needs son, also level 3 non verbal autistic and I would never ever document the intimate doctors visits, surgeries, meltdowns, and countless therapy sessions. It’s disgusting. If my son was old enough (like over 18) and wanted to share his journey, that’s incredible. But I’d never do this to an innocent child who didn’t ask for this.
And I’d never give him up

Soo.... I'm not an expert, just a person who has been around autistic kids. I won't say they're lying, just that it's amazing how a kid with "the most severe level of autism" is able to interact with people, wave to the camera, goes for a hug, becomes verbal at the right age ... his therapists must be excellent, I hope he can continue working with them.

the fact that she even said not returnable is despicable. Adopting is just the same as deciding to keep your own biological child. You are with them with them for rest of their life. (obviously sometimes people go through hardships like drinking, grief, or other things that make being a parent difficult) but giving up a child because he has different needs than your other child is beyond words. You know that they would never do this to their "biological children. " I am glad Huxley found a family that will love him endlessly. Honestly shame on them smh. - Sincerly an adoptee
