Great recipe! Since ripe plantain can be eaten without cooking, you actually don't need to boil first. Simply ensure they're fully ripe and go straight to mashing... For the vegan palate, fill with any of your favorite vegetables.. cabbage, callaloo, beans, tomatoes, mushrooms, stewed jackfruit (though not a veggie🤫)... 😋😋 🇯🇲

I'm from Jamaica, what a unique way of preparing plantain, when I do try your recipe I will use chicken breasts instead of ham though, thanks 😊❤

My family's from Jamaica and we make plantain tarts or plantain porridge.

I'm new to your channel and I was curious about your recipe. My grandkids love fried plantains or usually make fufu with the turned (half ripe) plantains.
You really got my attention with this new recipe, the only thing I would replace is the ham (I don't eat pork) with chicken.
I reside in Georgia, USA and I will definitely try out your recipe for Thanksgiving which in another week for when the kids come. Thanks again and will check out your channel from time to time.
