As I was looking past the air,
I saw a star that wasn't there.
It wasn't there again today.
What then emits that gamma ray?

4 rotations a SECOND. Can you imagine? Like, assuming for whatever reason standing on its surface didn't kill you and you were able to stand there and look up as it was spinning THAT fast, imagine what you would see in the sky from that position

'Geminga' sounds like a first draft of Sheldon Cooper's catchphrase.

I wonder what the James Webb telescope might see on a long exposure at this region.

Okay, so it seems that Dr. Seuss is so deeply inside me that I couldn't help but read the title of this as "...The Star that wasn't Thar"--Anyone else? Or am I the only Sneetch on the Beech?

I'm from Modena, Italy, and geminga really cracked me up! The ge should be pronounced more like in Gertrude though. I wonder if the astronomer who named it was from Modena too.

Star is spinning 4x/s. "It has to be old, due to spinning so slowly" 😂

Been considering, but that last specific example for me a little bit, in the wrong way. Not necessarily a bad thing for determining when marijuana was consumed, but for medical users like myself that use it wake to sleep, last time of consumption is worthless when you don't experience impairment, but your region has a zero tolerance policy. You're only safeguard, police interacting with you and never assuming that you're anything other than sober.

I'm imagining robin Williams, instead of saying "Jumanji!" He shouted "Geminga!!"
