This camera is the best purchase in 2022 for its money! I just have found one with only 2, 5k shutter count for just 1300$ on eBay! That’s insane! Best deal!

+Wilbert Barraquio, that would only cause interference if you used USB 3.0 and Wi-Fi at the same time... and the D4S doesn't have wi-Fi.

@4:00 the Canon 1D-C can do 1920x1080 at 60P. Its a video optimized DSLR but it is still a DSLR.

I know this video, and the camera itself, is 9 year old now, but I'm getting a used D4S as they are now available for about £600-£700, which is a steal! I think the reason Nikon avoided the touch screen is that it would have reduced the reliability, or otherwise impacted the usability (accidental touches etc.). Great series, really appreciate the time you both have put into this and especially the 7h tutorial set. Thank you! :)

Tony, Nikon should give you a new D4S for giving such a professional preview. You are a very good speaker and seem quit comfortable in front of the camera. I would be more likely to by a D4S now that I have seen you preview  instead of watching the sub-par previews from other channels. Thank you for doing such a great job!

Nice informative review...  particularly valuable to those of us just waiting around for delivery...  I don't want to be tethered... but then, I never upload live.  I'm not personally a fan of touch-screen, so that's fine with me.  USB2 is definitely a downer.. but then, I don't download directly from the camera...  Well done Tony!

I think every Nikon has exposure compensation in manual mode while Auto-ISO is enabled, my D300 has.

What one should I buy the Nikon D4s or D810 for overall photography? I like to shot in low light, back light, etc, I don't care about video that much, I do mostly still shots, not much action shots.

"pro`s only" ? I`m only an enthusiastic amateur/hobbyist since the late 1970s, but that doesn`t automatically mean I`m not shooting under the same bad weather conditions like a lot of pros do sometimes, so I like and need those tanky cameras like the D4s, I`m not interested in toys, but I`ve no problem to buy such cameras used years after their release to save money - there are no bad weather conditions to stop your passion as long as you use proper gear :)) - but I realy don`t need WiFi, a touchscreen, GPS or a faster USB in a camera body, ok, I don`t need video, if I would, I would buy a second-hand pro camcorder

The feature Ive wanted in my nikons for years (and canon apparently read my emails to nikon) is starring of photos. I shoot sports/news/event and it would be great to cut image selection out of my post process so I could get to my clients faster. For now it is just locking an image to mark it...

amaying D4 is much sharper then D4s, not by a small amount, its huge difference, like 2 totally different cameras and manufacturers, how is it that you dont see this .

I sort of agree on the touch screen. To me, I love as many physical controls as I can get. Looking at the photos and changing focus would be cool, but I'll only make the jump to touch screen if there is still physical controls on the camera.
