JK Rowling Has Been Removed From Harry Potter

JK Rowling has been removed from the Harry Potter exhibition in the museum of pop culture Seatle due to the museum's director realising that 'she has become a problem'. Find out the story here.

The copyright infringement lawsuit will be massive against this "museum". Legally you cannot remove the owner of a copyrighted work without buying the copyright from the author/owner. This "museum" will be forced to either return all credit to J.K. Rowling or remove all Harry Potter memorabilia from their facility. They would also be fined for violating the copyright and effectively stealing Rowling's work. Whether you love her or hate her, you don't have the right to rob her!!

I still cant believe that entire world came from her mind. I try to write and nothing good comes out. No plot, character/arcs, no world building, I stink at it. Its just amazing that she invented that world and all of those vibrant characters.

As a writer and creative, this is terrifying. The artist/writer puts their soul and heart into each of their creation. While final product may be the result of creative collaboration with editors, cover designers, marketers etc, it is ultimately a piece of the author's creative imagination. In a world where AI is already infringing on artists' and writers' rights to their art, it is horrifying that this is somehow considered a "progressive" move to deny a writer the credit for her creation.

And this sets a precedence that may well come back to bite those who support this stance. The book-bans in the US by parents groups may do just this to deny marginalised individuals the right to their art. A book by an ethnic/religious/cultural minority becomes a bestseller? Let's just refer to it as a book without an author, I mean they are getting paid when someone buys the book, why should we acknowledge their humanity? See? It's that easy to weaponise this ridiculous notion into creating genuine harm to smaller creatives. The world knows J.K. Rowling and anyone trying to erase her is going to have a hard time disassociating her from the Harry Potter and Wizarding World creative properties. But to even float such a ludicrous idea is creating a world where we can deny anyone the right to their art just because we don't agree with them, which is truly a scary world for anyone with an imagination.

If you disagree with a writer's personal views, you don't listen to her, don't indulge in her art. You can't take away what is literally a PART of her, her personality, thoughts and her mindset.

It all started because she felt, as a domestice abuse survivor herself, that women (females) should have a female only shelter to heal and get back on their feet. What pisses me off is that most of the damn people who are offende aren't even transgender themselves. I am gay and completely support both trans rights and JK Rowling. I love JK Rowling because she and only she created this beautiful world that I love and its escape to. That said, you can't just identify as whatever the hell you want. You can't even choose to be Transgender. Its not a choice, going through gender dysphoria is a horrible experience and those who "identify" as trans and get offended by JK's comments are ridiculous and mocking. This is a fantastic video, but I don't like your insinuations that its all of the LGBT community to blame. Its not.

The thing is that JK isn’t against the LGBTQ+ community. This is a lawsuit that she will have no problem winning in the US. I wonder is she also has a case against WB as well for not enforcing JK’s rights
