Our mission is to encourage, empower, and inspire people to live a life that Blesses God, in accordance with His word. As the Psalmist proclaims, "Bless God in the great congregation, the Lord, O you who are of Israel's fountain" (Psalm 68:26 ESV), and "Every day will I bless Thee; and I will praise Thy name forever and ever" (Psalm 145:2 KJV). Just as Simeon, after encountering Jesus, "took him up in his arms and blessed God" (Luke 2:28 ESV), we seek to lead others in a life of stewardship, relevant engagement, and practical living that honors and blesses the Lord.

There is no righteousness we could generate by ourselves to grant us access. It's only by God's mercy that He saves anyone. The wrath to satisfy the justice of God for those that are saved was poured out on Jesus.

What about the sinner on the cross? “Today you will be with me in paradise”

A complex and a simple explanation of salvation can both be simultaneously true.

I read those verses and did NOT get a conclusion of temporal punishment. What those verses convey to me is as believers, we get rewards in heaven based on our discipleship (those who put more investment in their works for the Kingdom will receive more than those who put less). Nothing in those verses tells me in any way that there is a purgatory-like state I can expect if I do not do well as a follower in this life.

Sanctification happens on earth while you still have your fleshly body... not when you are spirit

Don't we pay the temporal costs of our sin in this life? Sin has consequences in the here and now.

"Saved by grace through faith in Jesus Christ not by works so that no man can boast." Yes, saved unto good works. Ephesians 2: 8-9
And Yes, we do suffer if we drink too much, eat lots of sugar, etc.
Also the Word of God says that if we say we are without sin, we are lying.
1 John 1:8
Forgiven much, loves much.
Luke 7:47
Love covers a multitude of sin.
God is merciful❤ ✝️

The goal is to abide in Christ. If you do, salvation will take care of itself. 27 verses in New testament about salvation. The rest teaches how to abide in Christ. What was more important to Apostles?

The only thing that i can think of that is even close to a state of purgation is our time on earth. We cannot be sinless but we can strive for perfection and walk in his grace. There are clear scripture for heaven and hell but there are no explicit scripture on Purgatory. Not one that we can exegete this idea.

This is what people find difficult to believe. Sin will kill you, but it’s no longer an issue between God and man. Although unbelievers aren’t saved, their sin is forgiven. It’s now up to them.

The Catholic person made a lot of noise and interruptions to sound like he did not agree but at the end he agreed to everything the protestant believes. But I can see how a person that does not read the bible for himself can be mislead by the Catholic guy just by being more loud

You just made belief in the Lord Jesus Christ way to complicated, It’s just believing, that Christ died on the cross as a sacrifice for humanity, he sacrificed his blood for mankind, once you figure that out, the rest just follows, your attitude, your desires, your selfishness, the bad things that you want to do, it all becomes less of a struggle because you have believed in the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior, Don’t make it so hard, just Love the Lord, admit your a sinner and let God work in your heart God Bless You, Amen

The Council of Trent does not teach salvation through faith by grace alone in the same way that Protestant Reformers like Martin Luther understood and articulated the doctrine. Instead, the Council’s teaching emphasises a synergistic view of salvation that involves both God’s grace and human cooperation through faith, good works, and the sacraments.

3 hours. That's how long it took for Jesus to receive punishment for all of sin ever.
And in my mind the most mindblowing thing is that Jesus experienced whole hell, every single sin, every reason to commit it, and whole punishment for all sins. Not just of Saints and righteous, but also wicked, also angels, and also the satan's. God is not putting anything on anyone that he did not tasted first. Jesus was the first soul to go through hell

I’m going to be honest. Purgatory just clicked with me. I never understood Protestant theology without it- even as a Protestant.

Can’t you find something worthwhile to debate?

I suggest everybody stop the confusion which has been perpetuated and debated by Catholics and protestants for hundreds of years.
I John 2:27 says if you have the Holy Spirit you don’t need a teacher and now I see why

...on earth. While still alive. Still living and breathing. He will course you to the right direction and every action will have consequences. But not on the afterlife.

Please STOP MAKING THINGS UP! Salvation is a grace/"GIFT" of God -- not by your work -- "lest any man should boast"!

Me reading my bible doesn’t make me just in Gods eyes. Only my faith in Jesus work on the cross makes me just. But me reading my bible is working on my faith and holyness, if i do what the bible says.
