A little suggestion: use multiple coats.
...just make sure the prior coat dries first. And make sure the coats are even.

For me, it was a good short term solution. I busted a hole in my daughter's inflatable swimming pool and happened to have a can close by.... sprayed it and it sealed before much air leaked out. Also used on my roof and worked, but a year later it has peeled and is leaky again.

How long does it work?

As thin a coat as was applied, it is doubtful it would last very long
