As a man who cannot read, I will buy these manly books just so I can give off the illusion of intelligence and masculinity.

I was a woman before reading these 5 books but the second I finished green eggs and ham I magically transformed into a man. Please help me

*The Old Man and the Sea* is definitely a read suitable for a man. It even has the word "man" in the title so you know it's fine to read it.

When I was a kid I told my dad that my favourite writer was Agatha Christie and he looked at me like I’d said I enjoy sex work.

Ah yes, the perfect blend of Man Carrying Thing's two passions: books, and sketch comedy.

As a woman, I unfortunately do not know how to read anything but romance.

I can confirm, I read the art of war and I am now gay. Wait was that not what this video was about?

After I read Green Eggs and Ham, my wife let me see the kids again and I got promoted at the local McDonalds where I work. Thank you for the recommendation.

You forgot your own selfwritten book on how to carry things and other things a ghostwriter came up with!

The Art of War gave me a lot of insight into the human condition - for example it taught me that anyone who names The Art of War as one of their favorite books is lying and never read it

I like the implication that Green Eggs and Ham is non-fiction, since he had his reservations about The Old Man and the Sea but was all for some Seuss.

I swear to God for a minute I thought this would be a serious book video, and then it turned to be a sketch.
You're confusing and tricking us, Man, and I know you're doing it on purpose!

Calvin and Hobbes is supplemental reading.

The manliest book ever made is "Auto Radio Manual Volume 17: Service Data on 43 Models Produced in 1961-1962", didn't read it though

I always thought art of war was going to be about the psychology of power dynamics. Nope, straight up giving instructions for cutting off food supply & stuff. Very relevant to navigating office place dynamics

The accuracy of the “cancel me on Twitter if you want.” Fuckin killed me

Wow! I am going to recommend 5 books to you:
1) Marx: Capital
Long, nearly incomprehensible. Allows you to beat opponents in debates because they haven't read it either.
2) Rand: Atlas Shrigged.
Long, painstakingly clear in its arguments, which it repeats to the point of boredom. Allows you to beat opponents in debates because they haven't read it either.
3) Tolstoi: War and Peace
Incredibly complex, long and subtle. Also, I forgot like 95% of the time who was who due to there being about 100 characters with 3 different names, and missed all the satire because I don't understand 19th century Russian society. Nevertheless, I recommend it, just to show off. Although I have heard that the book has been renamed to "Special Military Operation and Peace" in Russia recently
4) Proust: Remembrance of things past
Incomprehensible mess of intimate memories that are far too detailed and boring. Just read to brag to other peopl
5) Hugo: Les Miserables
Great if you want to know about in detail about the sewage systems of Paris. Also revolution socialism something something I didn't really care
